Foggy Mountain Banjos

Well I seem to be on a bluegrass kick these days. This one especially caught my eye. It features Earl Scruggs and a host of banjo players. I got intorduced to Flatt and Scruggs back in ’62-’63 by Sheldon Danielson who was the Chief Engineer at WFMT (home of the Midnight Special). He hired me as a shift engineer. He often took me out to do on site recording for the station. Flatt and Scruggs was one of those. He liked them a LOT. I believe I got introduced to the band before the gig. I thought nothing of it back then.

Wonderful! Some of the best things in life are the things we think nothing of until later.

Two of the best – heard them live at a Bluegrass festival many many long years ago. I was in heaven.
