That I prefer Gary Johnson’s politics to Mitt Romney’s is no secret to anyone who reads this blog, so it is not surprising that he would top the list. But I do wish Johnson had stayed in the GOP to fight for what he believes in as Ron Paul has, and I think the stakes in this election are far too high for me to even consider frittering away my vote on a candidate who will be unlikely to garner more than a few percentage points.
What surprised me is that Romney ranked as high as he did. 83% agreement is not bad, even if there’s some pretty strong disagreement in the remaining 17%. I can handle voting for the man with a relatively clean conscience, and in any event, there is no comparison between him and President Obama.

“Mail Adress” is misspelled. (I feel that I have to say that every time I visit here.)
I got 92% Romney and 82% Johnson. Much lower on Obama. Immigration seems to be where we differ; and I suspect there’s an element of racial idealism there, as well – you still have it, and I lost it.
Anyway my plan is to leave the federal part of my ballow empty. I am sure that Romney is a fine fellow. But it’s not him; it’s D.C.
Unfortunately, ever since I migrated from MT to WP, I have been clueless. I loved MT, and I wish I had it back. Your complaint about “Mail Adress” is typical. I cannot fix it; all I can do is whine and complain. WP is not user friendly.
Mitt Romney had kept abreast of national politics since college, though, and the circumstances of his father’s presidential campaign loss had irked him for decades. He registered as an Independent and voted in the 1992 presidential primaries for the Democratic former senator from Massachusetts, Paul Tsongas.
Z, based on your comment, I asked for help and I was able to find it and fix it. WP is a mystery to me, but maybe it is more adjustable than I thought.
Thanks!
I took that test, but several questions are poorly chosen/written:
Should gay marriage be allowed in the U.S.?
That question doesn’t allow for the option to leave the decision to the individual states
Should we limit federal funds to public schools that do not meet performance standards?
That question does not allow for the option to cut federal funds to all public schools
There were others like that, as well.
Like you, I was a bit surprised that my Romney score was that high (I susepct a bit of unconscious poll-leaning there). In general, I found the questions good, but a few…well…even with the ‘try again, you damned reprobate’ option, I was hard-put to choose.
Sigh,
I remain sincerely yours,
Kathy
WP is not user-friendly? And MT is??? oh sheesh.
Sorry – I worked with MT from day 1 until they proved they were NOT friendly to anyone except themselves – and didn’t find them much friendly to any users that didn’t pay them extra for this that and the other (which is where we got into a…well…disagreement).
WP – not, maybe as cute. BUT you can do any damned thing you need to. Mail me if you need help. (see different than usual email above – that’s my work mail. It actually gets checked.)
I live in Illinois. I’m voting Johnson. Now way in HELL Romney has any chance in Illinois. If the Ds can’t buy enough votes they will manufacture them.
That said – I hope for a Romney win Tuesday.
The odds are in his favor:

A Dress? Only when I have to.
OTOH, if the election is close and Obama wins, Johnson may well be the guy who saved Obama’s ass.

***QUOTE***
Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, and Constitution Party candidate Virgil Goode are also on the presidential ballot in Ohio. When their names were added to the poll, Obama is at 47%, Romney 44%, with Johnson at 5%, Stein at 1% and Goode registering less than one-half of one percent.

“OTOH, if the election is close and Obama wins, Johnson may well be the guy who saved Obama’s ass.” I hope not. I don’t think he’s a Perot.
Though I must admit, if I weren’t in a swing state, I might go back to my old habit of voting Libertarian.
