Oh darn.
I hate it when I miss details, but late last night when I discussed the Secret Service prostitution scandal, and I failed to mention the evil root cause of their behavior.
Those damn homos! It’s all their fault! They forced the president into repealing don’t ask don’t tell, and by extension, the president’s act of allowing gays to serve in the military then caused the straight guys in the Secret Service to lose control and hire hookers in Columbia. You know, the double triple domino moral degeneration effect.
Expressing amazement over the logic, Doug Mataconis quotes the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins as follows:
…Just for a moment step back and look at the implications of this, over the weekend we saw the news of the President’s Secret Service detail in Colombia and the issue of them hiring prostitutes and now the White House is outraged about that. Actually in a meeting this morning my staff asked, ‘why should the President be upset’? It was actually legal; it was legal there to do that, so why should we be upset? Well, the fact is we intuitively know it’s wrong, there’s a moral law against that.
The same is true for what the President has done to the military enforcing open homosexuality in our military. You can change the law but you can’t change the moral law that’s behind it. You can change the positive law, the law that is created by man, but you can’t change the moral law, it’s wrong. So what you have is you have a total breakdown and you can’t pick and choose. Morality is not a smorgasbord; you can’t pick what you want. I think you’re absolutely right, this is a fundamental issue going forward because if we say ‘let them do what we want,’ what’s next? You cannot maintain moral order if you are willing to allow a few things to slide.
Adds Mataconis,
I hear that gays in the military are also the reason that those guys from the GSA wasted all that money in Vegas.
And I think the gays are probably also responsible for Hillary Clinton’s wild cavorting in Columbia. And probably for the movement to legalize drugs too! This hedonistic slope is so slippery we are all skiing our way down into hell.
To quote Tony Perkins immortal words,
You cannot maintain moral order if you are willing to allow a few things to slide.
Precisely. So, if gaydom is allowed, then the next thing you know there will be prostitution, then drugs will be legal, and then all society will collapse.
IT WILL BE THE END OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION!!
Hey wait!
Drugs were legal in this country until 1914, with even heroin and cocaine being freely sold in drug stores and in the Sears Roebuck catalog. Prostitution was tolerated, and there were bordellos in nearly every city. Yet today that archaic system is completely ignored by those who blithely advocate a “return” to “traditional morality.”
So how come the homos aren’t being given credit for what they obviously brought about long ago?

So homo sex is the reason why Secret Service agents cavorted with prostitutes in Columbia, per Mr. Perkins. That’s just silly, as everyone knows it was the Griswold decision 50 years ago that caused this. Or perhaps it was Roe v. Wade. Or maybe it was the music of Elvis Presley or The Beatles.
I’m old school, I blame the talking snake in all this. You’d think that after all these centuries the faithful would know these things.
You cannot maintain moral order if you are willing to allow a few things to slide.
Sigh. When will Christians actually start living by the Golden Rule? It seems obvious that Jesus wanted his followers to freely choose the path he set forth so as to set the example for others. There’s nothing in there about criminalizing the wider path to force everyone onto the narrow path. There’s nothing in there about beating people down the narrow path against their will You’d think after 2000 years they would have a better understanding of it.
Yeah, but why do you hate Jesus Christ?
No one said anything about hating Jesus until you did. Which makes me think you should be asking the question of yourself!
