Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey will announce that she is charging George Zimmerman in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, The Washington Post reported Wednesday, citing a law enforcement official close to the investigation.
I’m going to see if I can track down the WaPo story. The Washington Post.
George has a Facebook Page. He has left a couple of messages today.
The announcement I had planned to make at 4:30PM is now irrelevant. Just in case you do not hear from me in a while here is what is taking place. My father and new attorney will be driving me to an undisclosed location where I will await the announcement from Ms. Corey. If charges are filed we hope to post bail and fight this and have our day in court.

Not surprising really, given the high profile this has reached.
I just fear what might happen if he isn’t convicted, not that I’m advocating his conviction in order to avoid rioting.
My serotonin level needs a boost. Time for a good cigar.
He can raise self defense as a defense, and it will be up to the jury whether there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt of his guilt. From what I have seen so far, it looks like a poor case from the prosecutor’s standpoint.
GZ may actually feel safer in jail, it is cheaper than hiding, and his family could be safer too.
This gives new meaning to the term “show trial”. The media talked the State of Florida into a trial just so they could cover it.
I bet the media will do such a terrible job with the coverage that people will be surprised with the not-guilty verdict. That way, they can cover the riots too.
In the bad old days, lynch mobs in Florida would execute men accused of crimes, based only on skin color. Those days have returned with the colors reversed.
This is a case which cries out for experienced and qualified lawyers…
