Ann Althouse was physically attacked recently by a leftist thug in Madison. She got it all on video.
From a screenshot of the video, here’s the man, whom the crowd did absolutely nothing to stop.
Many of the demonstrators are wearing the same red, Communist clenched-fist T-shirt.
I couldn’t help notice that the man is wearing a Che Guevara button:
So, a violent Communist thug who admires a violent Communist murderer attacks a peaceful citizen journalist in supposedly civilized Madison while “peace-loving” lefties look on and do nothing. No doubt they think attacking people they disagree with is just fine. And peaceful!
I am not surprised, but I am sick and tired of the way the mainstream media portrays these people as something other than what they are.
MORE: Blue Fist designer Carrie Worthen argues here that right wing = racism:
Racism is the basis for right wing rallying. All this teabaggerism? What do you think the root of all that is? You think we’d see any of this fervent democracy-annihilating shit if a black man weren’t president? No way no how. They are actually and unapologetically proud of their racism. These people need to be stopped at all costs.
(Emphasis hers.)
Spoken like a true fanatic.

I’m kind of upset with her for not pressing charges.
Just like the dude who was threatened by Officer Wesley Cheeks, Jr. in Fairfax, VA who didn’t press charges despite having an open and shut case of illegal intimidation.
We need for these people to arrested, prosecuted and put in jail.
Not discouraging such behavior is why England is having their riots.
When there are no repercussions for illegal acts, well, that encourages more illegality.
Most Teabaggers aren’t racist (I think and hope) and most union supporters are not violent thugs. Those who are and those who look away are to be censured.
AND, I saw a far greater percentage of nonwhites at the prounion rally than I see at TP rallies, admittedly a subjective note.
My observation about fellow conservatives is they take too much pride in playing by the rules, assuming the others will worship the rules, take people’s word for things, assume plain or safe meaning of opponents’ word, they seem infinitely guileless, if not naive. They want someone else to make things happen. They hope against hope that when a club-wielding thug shows up it’s just for show or intimidation. Often the conservatives will re-double their effort to appear non-threatening and be more vulnerable.
The commie-libs don’t bring clubs to look tough.
Conservatives are like the Hollywood cliche of Biff & Muffy finding themselves in a tought neighborhood while wearing tennis whites. When they are confronted by the thugs, Biff assures the toughs he doesn’t want a problem. What Biff wants isn’t the issue. When conservatives try to appear nice, their enemies conclude they are easy targets. Being an easy target is an invitation to violence. “Weakness is provocative.” You may not be weak, but looking weak signals your enemies to action. Your enemies aren’t impressed with your perfect attendance record or your Little Sunflower award from the Mayberry Ladies Auxillary Club.
There’s no excuse for a thug with a bat taking on a middle aged woman armed with a camera. Having said that, why exactly was a law professor with a grin facing off with these people at one of their events?
Professor Althouse probably didn’t come up the way some of us did, so she didn’t learn that you don’t mess around with people’s livelihood without expecting some serious push-back.
At 17 I learned the hard way when I foolishly hired on as a “replacement worker” during a paper mill strike one summer. The third day out the gate about 300 striking mill workers and their friends and families were waiting for us. Besides eggs and rotten vegetables, they gave some of the cars a dose of battery acid, and tried to block us in.
We didn’t go back. And neither should Ann Althouse.
Scott M: The commie-libs don’t bring clubs to look tough.
Yes, and union thugs don’t either.
In the interest of accuracy, it is not a club, but a long plastic horn known as a vuvuzela.
They can damage hearing, or draw blood:

Like a baseball bat can hit home runs or bash your skull in. Were they at a soccer match?
No, but they probably imagine that the struggle in Madison, Wisconsin is “just like South Africa” or something.
[…] still others want the Tea Party disassembled. As the activist who designed the Wisconsin Blue Fist put it, These people need to be stopped at all […]
The self-righteous always know who is deserving of righteous violence.
And if there is one thing for certain about the political Left, it’s their own sense self-righteousness and along with their utter lack of self-awareness of their own self-righteousness. The Left points fingers at the socons on the Right, but act as if there are no zealots on the Left.
As a person who has been tortured by communists in america my whole life whilst they kept me down and kept me disarmed, I have no respect for the cowards. Ill see you commies jailed very soon. You want to attack someone, attack me freak jobs.
I’m not afraid of you, in fact if so many people want to back all this illegal immigration then maybe they should lose their jobs and homes for backing it.
