And some of them claim to be Christians.
Like California Pastor Roger Jimenez:
One of the things that Americans tend to forget is that there is a right to hate people, and that what is called hate speech is a constitutionally protected right.
Unlike some of his Islamic fellow travelers, I doubt very much that Pastor Jimenez is going to go on an anti-gay shooting spree. What I’d really like to know is whether he’s new to the game of agreeing with ISIS from a “right wing” perspective.
(There is nothing new about such false flag political opportunism. For all I know, he’s an unemployed commie in disguise…)

There are some doozies out there in Christian fundamental land. There are several pastors out there who state openly their belief that homosexuality s/b outlawed and that gays s/b executed as the Bible instructs. Their numbers are extremely small fortunately.
Of course, these bloodthirsty pastors see themselves as the “true Christians” because their stance aligns with biblical teachings. Christians who support or tolerate gay rights are”cherry picking” God’s Word in their view. Fortunately for us, they seem content to press their agenda via the democratic process, where they have absolutely zero chance of seeing their agenda enacted.
Religious fundamentalism seems to be a cancer to societies around the world. Militant Muslims are the reigning champions in this regard and have been for some time.
True Christians? In theory Jesus abrogated the Old Book completely.
So who decides which portions should be reinstated?
Yeah. All of Leviticus, or nothing at all.

This is a nice explanation of how that works:

Although, there are small groups of whackier protestants, like Christian
reconstructionists, who do think all of Leviticus should be followed.
