I agree with Captain. This is NOT news. Anymore than the Kardashians or Lohan or Cher are news.
The only reason that straight guys are so hung up on this is that it calls into question their stupid notions about the LGBT community, and there are probably a few disturbed by the fact that they find Caitlyn Jenner an attractive woman. Not that they would admit that.
I don’t have cable TV so maybe I’m wrong but I don’t notice that straight guys are hung up on the Caitlyn Jenner stuff. It’s the big tent left that’s hung up on it. Example Wikipedia:

“She” won the men’s decathlon. This is Orwellian doublespeak. It’s none of my business that Jenner is dressing as a women while retaining male genitalia. And if she wants to be referred to as female than it’s just common courtesy that we do so. But going back almost 40 years to change his sex to female? Res ipsa loquitur. Inane.

Deb, it also fits into the social conservative stereotype that all gays are “abnormal” or as Vanderleun calls us, freaks. I’d have more sympathy for Jenner were it not for the obvious grab at attention. Being on the cover of Vanity Fair should generate lots of income down the road. And take that, Kardashians!
On the other hand, better a sex change than going the Robin Williams route once the looks go and earned fame is but a memory.
Did I imply that Jenner is gay? It must be confusion based on her statement that she will still prefer women after transitioning. Technically that makes her lesbian, assuming she really thinks of herself as a woman. Otherwise Bruce Jenner is just pretending, right?

I can understand why a young effeminate homosexual might want to be a female impersonator/shemale/katoy/tranny, whatever; it helps them be attractive to straighter looking and acting men, it’s good for business. What I really don’t get is these big, masculine, middle aged guys suddenly deciding they were born with the wrong wedding tackle.
hmmm… If there were some way to try being female just for a few days I’d do it just so I could stay home and play with my tits. Other than that, not the least interest in getting things cut off.
