I understand that we can’t judge all, but can we just judge a few?

A friend sent me his thought for the day, which I thought was pretty good.

Thought for the Day………

“We are told NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few crazies….

But …

We are told TO judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few crazies.”

I don’t judge all of any group by the actions of a few crazies, otherwise I wouldn’t vote Republican or Democrat, and I would judge (and hate) whites, blacks, Catholics, Jews, Protestants, Mormons, immigrants, gays, straights, rich Americans, poor Americans, middle class Americans, and all Americans, plus all of everyone else.

Which reminds me of a video I saw earlier in which an officer threatened to arrest a man “for being a f_cking mutt.”

It’s pretty disturbing, but I can’t and won’t judge all officers by the actions of a single f_cking pig, or even by the actions of several.

But I don’t like the idea that I can’t judge the few, because if I can’t judge the few, then I can judge no one at all.

The distinction, for me, is what I am judging.

I judge individual behavior, rather than group identity. I believe that’s what you’re driving at here.

I dislike group identity, which strikes me as verging on Orwellian groupthink. The left is trying to use it to destroy individuality as well as responsibility.
