If the question is “what to do about xxx” and the answer is “we need a law” you are talking to a socialist.
And with laws come enforcers. And expenses. And exemptions for the connected. etc.
In the words of our ecocrazies – it is unsustainable.
But while it continues it is going to hurt like hell.

Every time there is a big killing in the news, President Obama invariably leads the “There oughta’ be a law” chorus. Consider federal gun prosecutions in the Chicago area.Obama’s Chicago Dead Last In Federal Gun Prosecutions.
If you don’t enforce the laws you have, there is no point in making another law.
I think we should dismantle the supreme court and reform it as a court that may ONLY strike down laws. It may not say “partly” and it may seriously not make new ones. It may only say pass or fail.
And, if it says “pass”, the judges who voted for pass may be sued for “unintended consequences” of said laws.
Yeah, I know. But no harm in dreaming…
L. Neil Smith proposed that any law that is nullified by a jury three times brings an automatic death sentence for all the politicians that voted for it.
Cool!
Why wait?
