President Obama has just pardoned 111 non-violent Federal Drug Law offenders. Naturally there have been complaints in the comments. My response to one of them (a Trump supporter) was:
Trump? Because he thinks Drugs are a State issue? Obama is already putting his policy into effect. I think Obama should be applauded for listening to Trump on the matter.

He’s got a few thousands to go. And I see he’ll be continuing. Good for him. One thing he’s got right.
Since some of the Breitbart commenters are (predictably) speculating about race, I think it’s worth pointing out that one of the sentences commuted was that of Timothy Tyler. A white Grateful Dead fan who, because he sold pot and LSD to an informant, received a sentence of “double life without the possiblity of parole”:

The loathsome excoriation of human beings like Timothy Tyler — and the celebration of their suffering — hardly endears me to Breitbart commenters. If the latter are in fact “conservatives” as they claim, I’m proud not to be counted in their vile, stupid ranks.
