Kinzinger Unable To Support Trump

Republican Adam Kinzinger says that he can’t support Trump. Good for him. Because he is currently my Rep and a staunch Prohibitionist. So I can’t support him.

Evidently the Democrats are not going to make a fight of the 16th District Kinzinger represents. So my alternative is Libertarian Joseph Schreiner. I have no idea who he is. No clue about his positions. And there is not much on the ‘net about him. His campaign office is at, 4900 West Cullom Avenue, Chicago. It is a single family house. I wonder if he even lives in the district.

Here are some bigraphical details for Joe from a German Cultural Center site.

I have worked in information technology, statistical analysis and teaching in the corporate, academic and public sector domains for most of my life. I am familiar with the political process. In 1994, I was the Libertarian Party candidate for Illinois Secretary of State. In the 1980s, I was the Chair of the National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals, where, among other things, I managed several grants under 501c3 sponsorship and developed contacts with scientific professional societies.

It is not much. But I still don’t like Kinzinger.

I don’t like Mark Kirk either. Another anti-Trump guy. So I’m voting for Tammy Duckworth, who is in my opinion a very disgusting person. She likes fighting the pharmaceutical opioid “epidemic” by getting the police more involved. Yuk.

On The Issues has Mark Kirk as a Moderate Libertarian. And they have a Nolan Chart to prove it. They have Duckworth as a Hard-Core Liberal, also with a supporting Nolan chart.

I don’t like any of them. Except maybe the Libertarian. Who appears to be a carpetbagger. Oh. well.

Whatever happened to party discipline? Like it or not, Trump is the Republican Party candidate for president. The very least any Republican candidate should do is state that they support their party’s candidate. That’s not an obligation to jump whole-heartedly onto the Trumpwagon. You don’t even have to say his name, just say you support your party’s candidate for president.
