This Year I’m Voting For The Democrat

Trump is very much in line with Jefferson when it comes to guns. Say. Wasn’t Jefferson at one time a Democrat icon? And how about that populist Andrew Jackson?

Well I’m voting for the Democrat. Trump !

As much as I don’t like Trump, me too. Hillary may be the worst candidate to ever run for President. Gary Johnson has been a let down and isn’t even worth the protest vote.

I can’t believe Johnson said Hillary didn’t commit a crime.

She was told by NSA that setting up a private server was unlawful. For one.

Polling shows he is attracting more Ds 6% than Rs 4%.

It’s not like she did something truly evil like refusing to make a gay wedding cake.

You don’t have to go back to the founders to find reasonable sounding Democrats.

Hubert Humphrey, for example. Daniel Patrick Moynihan for another.

It was always the party of urban ethnics, union thugs and southern racists, but it used to have at least a few.

Even back as ‘recently’ as 9/11 – there were Democrat politicians I could have voted for. All the ones I know of got removed for lack of political correctness. (Or obescience to Sharia.)

I think they were known as Blue Dogs. One of them wrote a great rant regarding the similarity between putting down rabid dogs and jihadis.

P.S. – I’m voting for the democrat, too.

The last good Democrat president, perhaps the best president ever:

The lessons of paternalism ought to be unlearned and the better lesson taught that while the people should patriotically and cheerfully support their government, its functions do not include the support of the people.
Grover Cleveland, Second Inaugural Address (4 March 1893)

I would have voted for Jim Webb – but it seems no actual registered Democrat would.
