    when candidates in primaries asked the people of many states what the biggest problem in their state was DRUGS!!! was the answer.

    Demonize any minority group long and loud enough and people will likely conclude it really is a problem. Jews, drug users, global warming deniers, white Christian NRA members, men, whatever outgroup du jour is hot.
