Hillary thinks gun control is a winning issue.
The American people love guns and FBI reports of record background checks for the past 12 months indicate Americans may love them more now than ever before. Yet Clinton is openly running on gun controls that will make it more difficult–if not impossible–for law-abiding citizens to obtain the arms they need for self-defense, hunting, and target shooting.
Making things even worse, Clinton is pledging to go it alone on gun control if elected. She makes no bones about the fact that she intends to use executive action to exceed President Obama on gun control.
Is she TRYING to lose the election? It looks like it. And then consider her stance on medical cannabis which gets 60% to 80% support among the general population. Hillary says more research is needed. Donald Trump on the other hand backs medical cannabis 100%. What is she thinking? The eGOP is trying to lose to Hillary and Hillary is trying to lose to Republican voters.
Just those two effects will combine to give Trump a LANDSLIDE.
I always get nervous when watching such stupidity. Is Trump really a Trojan horse candidate? Well if he is we will not be much worse off than if the “normal” candidates won the election. So
Trump 2016 !

I’ve been saying for months that if the Democrats were halfway sensible, they’d throw the election and let the collapse happen on a Republican’s watch.
I also strongly suspect Trump of being a Clinton proxy.
So, the best of both worlds. A Clinton proxy with an (R) after his name (and who’s been running largely as a Democrat’s idea of a Republican) takes the blame when the Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return. In the meantime, it’s business as usual for the Clinton Machine.
(No, I’m neither a Republican loyalist nor a Conservative as generally understood. I do, however, care somewhat for principles.)
bernie sanders is staying in the race thanks to pro 2 amendment democratic and independent men.
Eric,
I don’t think you can categorize Trump so easily. He is kinda libertarian – socially liberal and fiscally conservative.
What it seems like to me is he is a transition candidate. Half old conservative and half new conservative.
Social conservatism is dying out. Literally. One million less every year.
Trump is doing a fair job of straddling the generations.
I remember people expressing the same sentiment in 1980. But Reagan turned things around quite nicely.
