Islamic State Operating Just 8 Miles From U.S. Border

Islamic State operating in Mexico just 8 miles from U.S. border

The Islamic State terror group is operating a camp in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua, just eight miles from the U.S. border, Judicial Watch reported Tuesday.

Citing sources that include a “Mexican Army field grade officer and a Mexican Federal Police Inspector,” the conservative watchdog group reported that the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, is organizing only a few miles from El Paso, Texas, in the Anapra neighborhood of Juárez and in Puerto Palomas.

Judicial Watch sources said that “coyotes” working for the notorious Juarez Cartel are smuggling Islamic State terrorists across the U.S. border between the New Mexico cities of Santa Teresa and Sunland Park, as well as “through the porous border between Acala and Fort Hancock, Texas.”

I wonder which candidate this is going to help? Let me guess. The guy who keeps saying something about a Wall.

PolitiFact – 14 April 2015 says the report is not true.

And then there is this from 30 November 2015: Banned Muslim Cleric Caught Being Smuggled Across US-Mexico Border in Trunk of Car.

And this from 29 March 2016: Southern California: Muslims screaming “Allahu akbar” fire hundreds of shots in remote area, are arrested and released.

It’s going to take more than a wall. We are at war with ISIL, like it or not. Mexico loses any claims to neutrality by allowing them to operate there. This is clearly spelled out under the Geneva convention.
Since we are also being invaded by Mexico in any case, this is clear justification for war. At least a bombing, special forces, something… If only we had a real president.

$10 million per mile * 2000 miles equals $20 billion. A 10% excise tax on the $35 billion sent by Mexican immigrants in the US to their relatives every year ought to get that wall built in less than six years. We could drop the 10% tax to 5% after it’s built to pay for maintaining the wall.

    Bombs are cheap.

Eight years ago Michael Yon briefly turned some of his attention to Mexico. He still writes about it with his latest take that the U.S. and Mexico are “like two snakes making love”. If there is something going on down there I believe he will be all over it. Until then, these reports are probably bogus.

What is going on is opium. Big time, as
cartels are switching over to it from meth and pot.

I’d be surprised if there isn’t something going on. Mexico is a nearly failed state run by drug money, with a thousands of miles long land border with the US. Ideal for infiltrating jihadis.

MMM, you could be right. I suspected something like this 7 or 8 years ago when Iran was first sending troops into Venezuela. Homeland Security thinks the same but is being quiet. For the last several years they have had unmarked cars patrolling grape vineyards and melon patches in California. I doubt if they’re looking for wetbacks.

Needs much more than a passive wall. Look how effective the Palestinians have been tunneling into Israel. Also the Iranians and North Koreans are known for sophisticated tunneling. The way to definitively shut down this kind of thing is to disrupt it as far upstream as possible.
