Eric’s recent post ADA Nazis got me looking around. And what did I find? A book by Oleg Atbashian. Shakedown Socialism.
I discussed a recent post at ‘American Thinker’ that was authored by Oleg: A Former Soviet Discusses Trump.
A typical review of Shakedown Socialism.
The stories are real: this man lived in the Soviet Union, and it is happening here. It is one thing to read theoretically about how socialism ruins a country, another to read real life examples clearly written. This book is also fun and entertaining while providing a serious message.
Think about Obamacare, and how the unions are currently (Sept 2013) crying that they will have their healthcare affected–if they read this book, they would understand how they are being systematically destroyed as the government takes on what union membership used to provide. Eventually, unions will become empty, powerless organizations, as they did in the USSR. And there will be a ruling elite, not any smarter than you, but in charge.
Not that this fellow thinks much of unions, for he explains how they helped destroy the Russian economy. But it isn’t all about unions. If you believe that Obama’s push for equality of outcome will help you, you are fooled. You need to read this book and wise up. If you are well -read about our country’s founding principles, you should read this to get a real feel how leftist theory works (doesn’t, that is).
Bernie Sanders followers take note.
An excerpt from another review:
Are you wondering why Obama and the RINOs (repubs) are passing secret bills that can’t be released to the people, even after they are passed? Doesn’t it seem odd that RINOs would be working with the Obama regime, on power grabbing schemes that are supported by very few democrats? Why didn’t the RINOs try to stop Obamacare?
This book will help you gain an insight to their seemingly random actions, like opening the borders, releasing criminals (rapist, killers & etc) into our towns, and dividing Americans into angry factions.
The Supreme Soviet has only their best interests at heart, comrades. Forward!

Why capn,
Did I hurt your poor little Communist heart?
You could always go elsewhere.
Politics has always been about who gets the goodies. Sometimes it’s outright theft, sometimes it’s a bargain, “sure, me and my boys up in the castle are a bunch of thugs, but we’ll protect you from even worse thugs (not like you got much of a choice, anyway)”. It’s primate politics. Sometimes the little monkeys gang up on the 500 pound gorilla.
If given a choice of getting red of medicare and social security or getting rid of those who want do do away with medicare and social security which do you think the american people would get rid of?
cap,
I predict that by the end of this election season the American people will want to get rid of you.
I predict if we don’t do something drastic about underfunded entitlements we’re going down the drain ecomically. No goodies for anybody. $16 trillion national debt and counting.
“RED of medicare” good Freudian slip.

My hometown had a fair number of Iron Curtain refugees, as friends, neighbors, co-workers, and parents of my classmates. I had the utmost respect for them for what they had gone through- such as the Holodomor and the Soviet invasion of Estonia. I later worked with Argentines whose families had fled Hungary.
Your flippant attitude indicates to me that you know very little of refugees from the Iron Curtain.
you mean like all nazi war criminals we had to send back?
