“They said this day would never come,” he said. “They said our sights were set too high. They said this country was too divided — too disillusioned to ever come together around a common purpose.” He continued, “We are one nation. We are one people. And our time for change has come.” One day, he said, the American people will look back on the 2008 Iowa caucuses and say, “This is the moment when it all began.”
One nation, one people uniting behind the common purpose of… electing Barack Obama. That speech from his 2008 Iowa primary win really sums up his Presidency perfectly.
It’s unfortunate America disappointed the great man, with our clinging to guns and religion, and watching too much cable news, but it will be very interesting to see what we hear this February.

He’s the one we’ve been waiting for, and He has a possum named Vera.
typical conservative stupidity. the corporate establishment which is very moderately liberal for its own protection. if it pushed conservative drivel it would destabilize society and provoke anti-establishment reactions from the minorities and their white liberal elitist supporters which would be bad for the corporate state. give them a corporate woman or black that the democratic base will support. look at the short shrift the media has given to bernie sanders and even the attacks on donald trump who the corporate state doesn’t trust because he knows where all the bodies are buried and doexnt need their money when he leaves office unlike obama and the clintons. same reason they hated ross periot

lets see if he eradicates the bundy vermon take over in oregon or tries to negotiate.
Obama should give an encouraging speech about Bundy, like he did about OWS taking over Zuccotti Park. Remember?
Wasn’t he inspiring? What are the chances that he’ll encourage the Bundy occupiers too?
Hey, a guy can dream, can’t he?
