ATT Internet sucks big time. I still have no Internet service, and while I was told they’d be here between 4 & 8 today, and I waited for them, no one arrived. A supervisor told me they have an “emergency” with copper wire networking, but this is ridiculous. I hate to yell and scream, but it occurs to me that maybe DSL is not the wave of the future.
Any thoughts?

Any underground work being done on the streets nearby? Gas mains were being replaced in my Denver neighborhood a couple of months ago and I lost my DSL twice. Century Link support told me I had a bad modem the first time so I broke out a pre-configured back up modem and slammed CL’s support when they tried to blame a bad modem the second time. They actually tried to sell me a new modem when in fact the crew digging up the streets must have cut something. I have to admit though that my DSL hasn’t been down more than 48 hours in the past 10 years so I guess I really have had pretty good service.
