A reassuring thought that scared me

At least we still have “freedom of the press.”

Right?

Until the anointed few who get to be called “the press” manage to have that freedom defined as belonging only to them.

In response to this horror story, (about health insurance companies demanding a government bailout necessitated only by losses occasioned by Obamacare) a friend remarked:

This was envisioned by Obama because written into Obamacare are provisions to ensure that insurance companies will not lose any money if not enough young people sign up to offset the cost of caring for the sick and elderly. It is another slick Obama bailout that will, once again, stick it to the hardworking American taxpayers because we are the ones who will pay.

The media know about it and will not report it truthfully. In other words, media bias and business as usual to protect Obama and their progressive, liberal Democrat buddies.

My worry is that at some point, the press could be fully controlled by the government, and no longer free.

Then the non-free so called “press” could wage war against the rest (the non-“press”).

It all depends on how many votes they have on the Supreme Court.

What a shame that freedom could be so fragile.

The MSM functions as press agents when it comes to covering Dems, progressive pols and policies. They aren’t the guardians of freedom, the are the guardians of “progressive” (aka statist) politics.

That’s because there are always people working on taking it from you.

The normal condition of people is not freedom.
