Is this blog about classical values like slavery or is it now pot head values?
I write about what interests me. How about you?
What interests me is bourbon and cigars. What shocks me is that the price of a nothing-special joint is the same as a drink of excellent bourbon or a really good cigar.
That’s why I’ll never touch the stuff–the opportunity cost (for me) is way too high.
What interests you put in a diary. What interest you and might interest others(besides pot heads) post here that should be your goal!
You don’t like it start your own blog.
I’m sure you have lots to say that everyone wants to read.
crap,
We don’t blog here for traffic although we get a fair amount.
I write about what interests me.
It would seem that endocannabinoids are a fairly interesting topic according to stats I looked up a while ago.
It is not significantly covered on any other general readership blog. I intend to change that by being relentless about what interests me.
Gee Simon, you’ve done it again. You’ve wounded the pooor Capn AzHole by not blogging as he directs. And then MMM goes and salts the wounds by suggesting he bestir himself and start his own blog. How insensitive can you be to a poor guy’s needs? Dontcha know he’s entitled???
c andrew,
I have never been known for much felicity. Probably a habit I picked up in my biker days.
CapAZ, since you aren’t finding what you want at CV, here is a link to a site that may suit your needs. The owner’s name is Gerard Vanderleun, which you probably already know very well. Anyhow I’m sure he will be amused by you and vice versa.

If a tree falls in a forrest and nobody hears does it make a sound? If a hungry child crys out for food and nobody hears do she make sound?
Hmm, apparently by Capn Az’s reckoning, the hungry child is a nobody. Or, perhaps nerve deaf. Either way, I’m not moved by his metaphysics. (Or anything else up the philosophical hierarchy.)
Hi Simon,
One of the mellowest guys I ever knew was a former marine who’d served 3 tours in Vietnam, was a marine guard at Camp David, and then, to throw off the regimentation, joined a biker gang after he finished his tour.
I met him at a martial arts class. He could do stuff with a chain or a knife that would bleed you white – before he touched you. (Okay, a slight exaggeration there.) But when he wasn’t in homicide mode, he was a very nice guy.
His job? He was a high school art teacher. And drew comic strips on the side.
My second week there, the white belts were opining in the warm up before the class opened. One of the white belts said that he could understand being in a motorcycle gang for the freedom of the lifestyle, but “Lord, the women are UUUGLY.”
One of the yellow belts hissed at him to “shut up. Tom met his wife in a biker gang!”
Tom’s about 3 rows over stretching and he turns his head and smiles. Nothing more was said, but he never brought it up. It looked like an amused smile…
The biker gang I was in attracted beautiful women. I still carry a taste of it with me. When I am out and about every now and then some young thing will get “crazy” attracted to me. It is such a frequent occurrence that the First Mate comments on it. She is amused. The same thing attracted her to me a very long time ago. The last time it happened? At a Christmas party in 2013 (a few weeks ago). I’m 69. She was around 30.
