A friend emailed me and asked what I thought of Oprah Winfrey’s new wig.
Ever the spoilsport, I replied that I preferred Phil Spector’s wig:
Not that I would wear such a thing to court (or deny that it was a wig), but I just think it’s more eye-catching than Oprah’s.

Meanwhile, Phil Spector wore a ridiculous wig throughout his trial to show what – that he’s a loon?
Also, an oldy but goody from Tom Wolfe about Spector: “The First Tycoon of Tean” He always was a whack job.
Those Phil Spector wall of sound hits sound really thin on a modern sound system, I guess they were engineered to sound good over a tinny 6 transistor radio.
Is it a wall of sound or a wall of hair?
