An email from a friend asked “Is this the real Detroit?”

To which I replied in the negative.
But unfortunately, this is the real Detroit:

I say preserve Detroit for posterity.
This was America.
Bulldoze these abandoned buildings, and ASAP. After World War 2, the Capitalist West Germans immediately demolished the ruined buildings in West Berlin, but the Communists left the ruins of East Berlin intact. Its seems obvious to me which side made the better choice.
Choclatier, there will be no capitalist renaissance in Detroit, ever. I say leave them there as a symbol and warning for future generations.
