“Peace In Our Time”
That could not have been an accident.
There is no way that Obama’s speechwriters were unaware of the cultural significance of that phrase, or who uttered it (Disreali, btw, not Chamberlain) and under what circumstances.
Assuming the real intentions of pretty much every politician is at odds, or at least is obfuscated, with what they say, what exactly is the true message here?

The phrase “peace for our time” was spoken on 30 September 1938 by British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain in his speech concerning the Munich Agreement and the Anglo-German Declaration.[1] The phrase echoed Benjamin Disraeli, who upon returning from the Congress of Berlin in 1878 stated “I have returned from Germany with peace in our time.” It is primarily remembered for its ironic value, as the German occupation of the Sudetenland began on the following day. Less than a year after the agreement, following continued aggression from Germany and its invasion of Poland, Europe was plunged into World War II.
The true message is that the Obamanation is setting the world up for a great war.
I believe they have figured out that the only way to escape the debt bomb is to start dropping war bombs.
One angle is the weakening of US Power to encourage a challenge to it. Which side will “they” be backing? Both sides. They can’t lose. And it will accomplish their population reduction aims to boot.

Ugh – I’m not really sure I’m ready for yet another word war.

The Present President doesn’t have the foggiest notion what he’s doing. He’s good at word wars, though. Been winning them, despite the right’s better vocabulary. Hint-try harder.)
World Wars? We’re already in one. And we’re losing.
I don’t know if you are aware of it but we were actually at war with Germany about 6 months before they declared war on us.
Yes. The world war has started. About 9/11/01.

Yup.
I heard that line and every fiber of my being responded with “Oh no, not again!”
The broad outlines have been visible for 9 or 10 years, but the details are starting to come into focus now. It’ll take a few years to really gain momentum.
That doesn’t leave much time.

That line must have been inserted by a saboteur.
