Stating The Obvious

A Seeking Alpha article on stagflation states the obvious:

…given the uncertainty in the economic and political environment as well as an administration that hardly can be called business friendly

Mr. Obama’s idol FDR had similar problems. It wasn’t until he got into a war that he wanted to win that he changed his anti-business tune.

So in that sense WW2 did get us out of the Depression. Which is not how most people understand that event. Government spending didn’t help the economy until the government took its foot off the neck of business. The Seeking Alpha article goes into that in the current situation.

You must have made millions shorting stock throughout the Obama years. Excellent! I’m sure the investment returns were more than enough that you don’t need to collect those SS checks anymore.

And Social Security? I’m just getting back some of the money that was stolen from me.

Ah. I see you are aligned with the thieves. Figures.

Aligned myself with the thieves? I will not collect social security until the second half of this century. I know I will continue to pay in, but the amount I will receive is unknown, primarily due to miserly old man who just want to “get theirs” and don’t really care about the the next generation of Americans.

I understand that people in my cohort are browner and more foreigny than you would feel comfortable with, but we are paying taxes under the threat of having OUR return on the taxes confiscated from us to pay for YOUR benefits right now. I get it – this doesn’t concern you, but can you please drop the charade about caring about the public finance’s, you old hypocrite.

As a self employed individual, I pay 15% of my income to Social Security. After paying 15% of my income to Social Security, I do want to “get mine” BACK.

Call me a hypocrite if you want.

WWII didn’t end the Depression, it just put it on hold and allowed the federal government to outsource the unemployed to foreign battlefields. FDR planned a big post WWII push for more New Deal legislation – he was just getting started.

The Depression ended the day FDR died.

TheAJ is worried there won’t be anything left to plunder by the time he gets through the gates.

He’s probably right to worry. Especially since his greed, malignant sense of entitlement, rage, ignorance, and lack of marketable talent won’t buy him much on that merry-go-round of legalized armed robbery.

He’s not really against statist armed robbery, by the way. He’s just pissed that you might be getting more of the loot than he is.

    Oh, and racism! Just because.

Sense of entitlement? I’m operating under the assumption that I’ll get nothing and I’ll still pay for your benefits. Who’s the entitled one here? lol.

I’m pissed that looters like you are acting like you “earned” the loot you stole.

TheAJ, I was once on the same page, looking for a scapegoat. Marxist shit. We, the petite bourgeoisie or all capitalists in general are the looters, while the noble philosopher/king will lead us to the promised land. Plato made the blueprint. You want to see where it came from then read this:

Also, I’m really sick of your crap. Why don’t you ply your hate over at zerohedge where you’ll be in good company.

Well if government didn’t set the example by looting in the first place there would be nothing for me to “steal”.

I do get it though. You fear to be the last one to buy into a Ponzi scheme. That there will be no one for you to loot from. TS.

The system was forced on me at gun point. I’m going to use the law to the best of my advantage to get back some of the stolen goods. If you find this unacceptable perhaps you can do better than I did and get the law repealed.

    Best of luck to you.
