Some of you might like to know what I have been doing these days. Lots of electronics work. I’m a designing fiend every day, all the time. When I’m not designing I’m building my designs. My latest is a power supply for powering the things I’m building. You can read about it and see a pretty picture of the supply at Power Up.

About fourty years ago, I had this great prototyping breadboard with a variable power supply and some other capabilities. Do you know anybody that makes anything like that?
Bob,
No I don’t. But funny you should mention that I still have my breadboard with Sine wave and square wave generators, +/- power supplies and a bread board from 40 years ago that I got as a kit ans part of my GI bill education benefit. I also got a Heathkit color TV from it (long gone) and used the extra money to buy an IMSAI. The beginning of my real computer work.

What scares me is that I understood that. And am looking into parts… (Thanks – I need to get out of politics sometimes.)
Oh – and Heathkit? If someone claims to be a computer expert (over 50) and you mention heathkit and they have no clue? Well, they are faking. 50+ may not have actually built one – but they certainly HEARD about them.
I miss Heathkits. My friends were sure I’d gone ’round the bend when I drove too Pittsburgh to buy their computer kit.
I noticed that CIE is still in business.
