This country may have gone crazy, but it seems I got needlessly worked up about Andrew Sullivan’s Newsweek cover.
Barack Obama may be many things, but he is not the first gay president.
I’d say I stand corrected, except I never said he was.

Heh. James Buchanan – thought so. I look at pictures of him and my (pretty damned accurate for a straight female) gaydar goes DING!
My question is, who cares? Except to wonder if Andrew’s gaydar is perhaps malfunctioning. Which could cause him a few problems – especially if he thinks Obama is gay and Buchanan wasn’t. Hope he doesn’t make the same mistakes in the local pubs. (Don’t depend on my gaydar – go read up on James Buchanan.)

Heck. I thought this was an April Fools joke. I have been buried in top.legend and bottom.copper for the last several days.
When I still read him, Sullivan posted an article about Lincoln being the first gay president. He had him sleeping with a man in a log cabin. Now he contradicts that with Obama being the first. He’s such a flighty-puss. And weird!
[…] Not exactly to my astonishment, earlier I learned that Anderson Cooper was gay confirmed he was gay. How many millions of women are now clutching the curtains in shock and disappointment I do not know. Does that mean he’s going to run for President? […]
