I’m getting YouTube Links for segments of the press confrence. I’m going to post segments as I get links. The bits are somewhat fragmentary so be patient until someone uploads the whole thing. I haven’t reviewed these videos so I can’t tell you if they are in order.
This may be the complete conference. No. It is only 6 minutes. With the Q&A the presser went on for 40 or 50 minutes.
The lawyers were en fuego. They excoriated the press. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton by name. And a certain Congresswoman who got into it. They said:
“There are people here who are ONLY relevant in racial strife”

This is difficult for me. On the one hand, I dislike the love of litigation that our society has. OTOH, I hope Zimmerman gets big bucks out of NBC and others. Not so much money as I would love to see NBC publicly humiliated.
One thing I would like to see is a BIG LOUD LONG public apology from Reverend Al Sharpton, which would include a BIG LOUD LONG note where Sharpton publicly admits has a tendency to stretch the truth, as he did with the Tawana Bradley case. Yes, utter humiliation in public sounds good to me.
I made the same mistake a few days ago.

I really do feel sorry for Mr. Zimmerman. I really do think he is sick about killing Trayvon Martin. He seems a regular guy that was concerned about his neighborhood. That concern led to a fatal interaction with Martin that night. I can’t begin to imagine all the things he is dealing with at this point in time.
I don’t know whether or not Zimmerman committed a crime that night. But if there was any crime committed by Zimmerman, I don’t think there was anything premeditated about his actions.
I know that is of little solace to Martin’s friends and loved ones. Martin is dead whether Zimmerman is criminally responsible or not.
