I just realized that my tape dispenser (which had belonged my parents) is so old and bulbous-looking that it might very well be considered collectible! Alongside the stapler, they both look especially… “vintage.”
Even the box of staples (which I use because they are staples) seems vintage, and it has the same Swingline model stapler on it.
But I do not intend these things to be “vintage.” They were just office stuff that my mom had and I kept using them because I need a stapler and scotch tape dispenser. I like them because I have had them a long time.
The thing is, they really are vintage. Both the tape dispenser and the stapler are pricey ebay vintage items.
It makes me feel old.
As if that’s not bad enough, tonight’s GOP debate has started.

They were your Mom’s, keep them and cherish them.

Proven quality and durability, not easily lost or broken. What’s not to like?

I have some scissors circa 1950 with my grandmother’s name engraved on them. The company that made them is out of business.
That stapler is ‘vintage’? Really? I’ve got the same stapler, except in green instead of gray. I never really thought about it; I got it from my FIL (no idea when or where he got it) and since it works perfectly every time I simply never bothered to get another one.
Ah vintage. I guess we are. I have the same kind of stapler and tape roller in my office.
Lost Joe Paterno tonight….this getting to be vintage is rough.
