Zero Hedge makes an interesting observation:
“Iran will not repeat its warning … the enemy’s carrier has been moved to the Sea of Oman because of our drill. I recommend and emphasise to the American carrier not to return to the Persian Gulf,” Salehi told IRNA.” Which is interesting because considering that the 5th Navy is stationed in Bahrain, i.e., deep in the Gulf, there is no way that the Stennis or other carriers will not come back, meaning what is likely the terminal escalation has now been set in motion.
I believe this means war. Zero has made an observation. It will be interesting to see how the other Zero handles it.

Bluff, no more.
(As well, ZeroHedge rounds to zero information, in my experience.
I have negative faith in their predictions and understanding, generally.
Just starting by calling yourself Tyler Durden is a big black mark…)
If the Fifth Fleet detects Vampires Inbound it’ll be over before DC-Zero picks up the phone.
No it doesn’t mean war. There will be no further mention of it in the Iranian media; they have more serious problems … such as the plunge in their currency
The real question is the mentality of the Iranian top leadership. Are they like the Japanese in 1941? Do they think that a war with little hope of victory is better than certain defeat?
Our own elite is entirely too rational. It weighs costs and benefits. It believes in gradual pressure. Most importantly, it believes the opposition is rational in the same way they are, and that they will reach the same conclusions.
This worked with the Soviets, and it has worked so far with the Chinese. It spectacularly didn’t work with the Japanese in 1941. Nor, for that matter, did it work with the Germans in 1914 and 1939.
Don’t listen to what they say, look at what they do. Where is the dwarf now? In Latin America visiting Chavez, Ortega, and Castro. The bluster in the Gulf is a feint. The action is about to take place in Mexico and Nicaragua as Iran infiltrates. We are already there. Michael Yon is moving to our southern border. A Drug War against the cartels in Mexico will be the excuse. But stopping a dirty bomb or biologicals is the real reason.
A new law went into effect this month. It mandates complete traceability of produce and fruit, from the field to cold storage, to the distribution warehouse, to the trucks, to the retail produce bin. Barcoded labels, scanners, softwear. Why are they so worried? What are they worried about?
Why are they expanding TSA with VIPER teams and random road blocks? Why did congress give the executive branch and the military the power to detain suspects outside the 4th Amendment? There are two explanations. One is that this is all a power grab. The other is that intelligence has them scared shitless.
Well Frank, you certainly got my attention.
