Coco has a new friend. A baby bulldog named Woodson is staying next door for at least a few days.
Coco is quite taken with the wrinkly little chap and wishes he’d move in permanently. (He leaps into my lap and showers me with slobbery bulldog kisses, and has repeatedly tried to follow me home.)
What I’ve long wondered is whether Coco could be made to get along with a kitty. Sarah just emailed me a link to an adorable video showing a large pit bull and a tiny kitten who get along famously.

Good video. Sorta does away with the Lean and Mean reputation of pit bulls, seeing how gentle the pit bull is with the kitten.
The video confirms my opinion of pit bulls: they are as mean – or not- as their owners want them to be.
Though I would wager that if the gentle pit bull in the video saw a family member being attacked, the response would not be gentle. I would not personally test that wager.
I loved it when the kitten jumped sideways at the pitbull, in full “play mode.” It is utterly adorable.
Depends on the dog. Introduced properly, some get along really well. Helps starting with a kitten; ‘baby’ critter seems to get less reaction to protecting territory than an adult does
