In the sweltering heat today, the landscaping job continued. I dug trenches in the hot sun and chopped out so many roots and so much concrete that my hands are now covered with blisters.
I do not envy the Chinese coolies.
Even though it was too hot for any non-mad-dogs Coco still managed to supervise.
You can almost tell from Coco’s expression how hot it was!
And here’s the two foot pit showing the perforated pipe, waiting for small rocks, then gravel, and finally topsoil:
After that it will be time to arrange boulders!

Sisyphus enjoyed pushing rocks. One handed, backwards, all variety of ways.
So what exactly are you designing?

I ask, only because I am curious about these things. I spent last weekend reviving my own back-yard garden from the depredations of a pair of stray dogs that my daughter took pity on last year, and a killing frost which demolished just about everything the dogs had ignored, or couldn’t reach.
