We dug this hole. Why complain when the guys on the surface start refilling it with us in it? We can crawl out or die.
A good place to start? Start drilling for oil. Start another refinery or three. End the Drug War – another financial weapon used against us. And where there is more rot in the system. And it is longstanding. Narco dollars. That would be all the drug money the cartels take out of the system. And then recycle in various ways. Any money going into financial instruments can be taken out of those instruments. And that makes financing debt more expensive. I have written a number of articles on the subject. The articles were way below your usual quality. The problem with the comparison between sugar and drugs is that sugar does provide sustanance and drugs don’t. Drugs are a tax or a luxury item like the other various forms of entertainment which themselves earn substantial returns. So, no, drugs don’t run everything. Should they be legal? Perhaps in the best of all possible worlds. But the real question one has to grapple with is why they are illegal. And I think that points to a dark place in human nature that neither libertarians nor progressives really want to face.
