I like the linked story better. As to the truth? Perhaps it will come out when detailed accident reports are published.
In any case RTFM will still apply no matter what comes out.
Even the Snopes version highlights that at least one bonehead didn’t follow proper procedures for for the engine test.
This does make me wonder -considering the culture and all- just how many of the ADAT flight and/or ground crew are in fact Arab?
