Without fully explaining in detail, Glenn Reynolds opined that Sarah Palin is more atttractive than Mike Huckabee.
WELL, SHE CERTAINLY IS AHEAD OF HIM ON THAT COUNT: Huckabee: Palin’s getting more media buzz than me because she’s attractive. More important, from my perspective, is the fact that — although people have tried to paint her as some sort of “Christianist” theocrat wannabe — she actually governed more as a libertarian than a conservative.
Yeah, I have noticed that too, and so has M. Simon. Sarah Palin is probably as close as the country has gotten to having an actual, certified libertarian within striking distance of the White House.
But that’s the rational, political part of the analysis. What intrigues me here is the irrational, emotional side.
Attractiveness.
When I clicked on the link, I saw Governor Huckabee quoted as making the following very petulant statement about Sarah Palin:
“she looks better in stilettos than I do”
Did he really say that?
Not looks better than than I would, but looks better than I do. He’s not making a hypothetical statement, but a statement of fact — as if he knows.
Shouldn’t the voters be allowed to judge something like that for themselves?
Frankly, I think Huckabee is getting a huge pass.
Can anyone imagine the outcry if Barack Obama had said exactly the same thing?
(Better yet, imagine the reaction if Sarah Palin complained that Mike Huckabee looked better in men’s shoes than she did!)

Once again the hypocritical cry …imagine the outcry if Barack Obama… Just say ‘If Shit’ as in If the beagle had not stopped to shit He (it) May have caught the rabbit… You will save many worde, a few electrons, some time, and most will understand….

No doubt Ms. Palin would look better in wing-tips than does Mr. Huckabee. She would govern better than him in them, too.
Nobody – nobody – looks better in stiletto heels than Barack Obama.
Sarah Palin doesn’t get more media exposure just because she’s attractive. She also gets it because she’s female. I would argue that’s the primary reason. George Clooney in his prime couldn’t get the kind of media exposure she does, and by most accounts he’s somewhat attractive. It’s not just because she’s a woman in politics, it’s much easier for women in general to get big media exposure.

Especially for women exposing their appropriate bigness. Of course being big everywhere can mean a huge fan base unless it shows up in pictures.
Palin is a funny girl. She has recently given private talks to Right To Life groups.

I saw the context of that quote and it was not petulant at all. It is a fact that Palin was given a pass on many of the very same issues for which those same “conservatives” were excoriating Huckabee.
Huckabee was making a joke using wry humor – which was obvious to everyone except those with an agenda…
