The group doing the singing is The Weavers. Pete Seeger was a member. Pete was a at one time a communist and as far as I know he is still on the left (he did repudiate Stalin).

This Wiki piece on the Almanac Singers , which included future Weavers Pete Seeger and also Woody Guthrie, talks their about face on pacifism once Germany invaded the USSR.
An about-face on pacifism once the USSR got invaded is a pretty good indication of Stalinism.
Seeger repudiated Stalin when Khrushchev ordered him to do so.
