Advertise your innocence!

Well, I suppose this was inevitable.

(There’s a similar sticker on Ebay with Palin’s name added.)
But if you don’t quite fancy the campaignish look, Cafe Press offers plenty of other models to choose from.

Not to be outdone, Amazon has a slightly slicker version:

I’m not much of a fan of gloating, or saying “I TOLD YOU SO!”
But I have to say, it didn’t take as long as it usually does for these items to appear.

I wonder – did people put bumper stickers on their cars in the mid-1930s that said “Don’t blame me. I voted for Hoover!” or Landon.

I wish I could believe that a President McCain would or could do anything substantially different than what Obama is doing.
Was McCain against the bank bailouts? Nope. Is he against the stimulus? I guess so, but it still could have probably passed over his veto.

Was McCain for the TARP before or after it was revealed that Paulson lied about the intent of the program?
There were many of us (myself included) who thought that a quick infusion of liquidity might loosen things up enough to get the machine working again. Kinda like a financial WD-40.
When the lending contracted further, and it became obvious something was wrong, we got a bit of buyer’s remorse. When Paulson came right out and said that TARP was never intended to be used for lending, we were furious.
    We have been royally had.
