Fifty Percent of the violent crimes committed in the districts occupied by Mexicans, Greeks, Turks, Phillipinos, Spaniards, Latin Americans, and Negroes may be traced to the use of marijuana. – Harry Anslinger head of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics.
And that is just one thing you can learn from watching this video.

I support de-criminalization of pot, but I watched part 1, and that’s about all I can take. First, it starts out with several minutes on medical marijuana, introducing us to a cancer patient and a medicinal plant researcher. Annoying, since ‘medical marijuana’ is a tangential issue. Marijuana need not be generally legalized to be used in medicine. Next up, the predictable ‘reefer madness’ reference. An obscure film made 70 years ago by a church group. Who cares?
What grates on me is not only the content, it’s the “nodding heads” style. An expert makes an argument, then the camera zooms in on someone in the audience nodding his head in agreement. Is this supposed to make the argument more convincing? I feel like I’m being insulted.
Steve,
It is rather annoying. But it does do a good job covering the History of drug illegalization. And you know I found the Reefer Madness film rather annoying.
