In other earthbreaking campaign “news,” I see that John McCain stands accused of being sarcastic.
Imagine!
And consider the timing! This blatant sarcasm comes right after children were lovingly made to sing tender and loving paens to Obama.
How mean and vicious and cruel can McCain get?
MORE: You think I’m kidding?
Watch this.
If that doesn’t move you to tears and make you see the light, then there’s no hope of change for you!

Can’t the press just leave him alone to eat his waffles? Oh wait. Wrong irritable candidate.
Someone should remaster that clip with some chanting for Cthulhu….
Ha! Good one, W2bgrrl.
Actually, I wonder why the McCain campaign doesn’t run an ad touting McCain and criticizing Obama while playing back that “Why can’t I just eat my waffles?” clip.
I found this to be extremely effective. Hard to argue with sweet, shiney faces and angelic voices, not to mention beaming parents in the background, willing their child to do well. It certainly conjurs up memories of school plays, dance recitals and chorus shows…well, except that it was kids singing about a U.S. presidential candidate who was going to change the world. CHANGE THE WORLD!
I LOVE black humor. (This is not, nor should it be construed to be a racist comment.)
Firesign theater said it all:
Speaker: “Das ist einen grosse Volkswagen und schwell pizza!”
Crowd: Sieg Freud! Sieg Freud! Sieg Freud!
Well, now we know what the nation’s children can expect when President Obama forces them to “volunteer” for a hundred hours of “community” “service”…
