You know, it appears more and more that the Democrat’s cries of racism re:Republicans is a form of projection. David Duke is denounced in mainstream Republican circles for his racism. Those same mainstream Republicans pushed Pat Buchanan out of the Party for a whiff of anti-Semitism. Or look at the heat Ron Paul is getting from Republicans. Why do the Democrats give their race baiters and anti-Semites (often one in the same) a pass?
Could it be they can’t win elections without them?

Why would white men, Jews and gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, be in there with the blacks singing “Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!” in MLK’s I have a dream speech?
What are they free from?
They are free from their racism, and find it liberating.
MLK realized that blacks needed the same escape.
Which precisely they are not free from. The grievance industry is too profitable.
And the grievance narrative will never change so long as soap opera audiences drive the news business.

and the broccoli grower’s heads explode. Al Sharpton can say the same and nothing happens.
Why? Because one is the most powerful political figure in the world and the other is, well, not. Obama is going to learn as Bush senior did that the POTUS or one who seriously aspires to same has to be very careful in all things. George Washington understood this and obsessed over his comportment. Obama has a lot to learn.
The “reverend” Al is a media-construct. All the lazy media types, television, radio, newpaper journalists turn to the loud-mouth Al because he offers an easy story and has so played the race card that to ignore him–as he should be ignored–brings charges of “racist! racist! racist!” So nobdoy wants to take him on. Well played, reverend! Well played indeed. Who annointed him as paramount black American leader? The mainstream media did, that’s who! Thank God for the internet.

He is not merely a creation of the news media. Nor is he merely an opportunist using liberal guilt to enrich himself. There are a lot of black Americans who hold all sorts of bigoted opinions…and are proud of it.
