Having not only read the usual texts, but also seen Kesey speak the only surprise in that clip is what an idiot the interviewer was. Here’s a relevent essay by the man who actually supplied most of the LSD for the Acid Tests and the entire scene.
Some of the best-spent tax dollars in US history. But then they had to go and blow it by making acid illegal….
