I am delighted that Dennis has been blogging up a storm in my absence so I don’t have to force myself to write anything. Instead, I thought I’d upload a few photos from today’s trip to New York’s Lower East Side. (Yeah, last time was Upper West Side; I’m making my way around….)
Here’s an ivy-covered building in an arrested state of deterioration. (I don’t know what they do there, but I couldn’t leave it alone.)

Eric – Your photo of the “ivy covered building” on Houston & Bowery really brought back some memories for me. At the foot of the building are the Liz Christy Gardens (New York’s first community garden I believe). The wife and I used to love to take summer evening strolls there as newlyweds. Glad to see it’s still there.
