When Eric invited me to blog here he set up the name Varius, and I had fun with it for a while, but to be honest I’ve never much cared for Romans and it takes about 2 seconds longer to log in with a name like Varius Contrarius. So from now on I’m just Dennis, which is my real name.
So … hi.

Dennis, is that really you?
I was beginning to think Varius existed. (As others have observed, “the truth doesn’t really matter, as long as you believe strongly in the emotional reality of the story you tell.”)
Don’t like Romans? Better not say that on _this_ blog! Unless you like Greeks, that is. Classical Values.
Myself, I love Egyptians better than both. Camille Paglia saw Egypt as the root of the Western aesthetic.
Camille Paglia also said of urination that while a man creates an arc of superiority a woman merely waters the ground she stands on.
And thus I refute her comments on Egypt, via the reductio ad urinam.
Which leaves us with Greek. And I challenge anyone who doubts the superiority of the Greeks to a little pankration, which sadly is no longer an Olympic sport.
while i don’t really want to all-strength you, i might have to challenge their superiority. but just a little…
No holds barred here, I see…..
Urine strange waters.
Stream of consciousness way over my head!

Hi Dennis.
Camille wrote “arc of transcendence”. Transcendental Scientists vs. Femocrats? The _style_ of that, whether agree or disagree with it. Myself, I prefer female dominance and Lesbianism. Transcendental Femocracy? Transcendental Tribadism? The _style_ of it all…. Holy Dawn and her holy Negro wife Norma vs. wicked Wanda….
I must also mention that the Egyptians pictured the Universe as the Earth-God Geb lying under the star-spangled Sky-Goddess Nut. That’s how I see it, too.
