I think Donald Trump has mined the racist (KKK) vote for all he can get and is now pivoting to the center. Evidence?
Republican frontrunner Donald J. Trump pulled out of next week’s GOP debate in Salt Lake City, prompting its cancelation, so that he could address the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) annual policy conference in Washington. D.C. But many of AIPAC’s pro-Israel activists are upset — so much so, in fact, that organizers have had to remind them to remain polite when he speaks.
The last time AIPAC had to issue such a stern warning was in 2010, when then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was to speak after berating Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for 45 minutes over a housing project in a Jewish neighborhood that had been announced during Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to the region.
Will he lose the racist vote? Of course not. As Winston Churchill said, “You can’t reason a man out of a position he didn’t reason himself into.” And the racist vote is now emotionally wedded to Trump. I visit various sites with copious numbers of racist commenters. Trump’s support for Israel is rarely mentioned in the comments and they never do posts on it. It would ruin their narrative. In fact I got banned from a site for mentioning it.
Another point to Trump’s move is that it has denied Cruz an hour of free media. Clever boy.
But about the move to the center. Pollster Gallup says Seven in 10 Americans View Israel Favorably. That is going to gain Trump votes generally but also it will add to his totals among social conservatives who might be swayed by this move.
This is a political campaign for the ages and will put to rest the idea that humans are mostly rational. Humans are 90% irrational and only 10% rational. Or as Richard Feynman once said on the subject. “The first principle is that you must not fool yourself — and you are the easiest person to fool.” And this is even older: “A man is his own easiest dupe, for what he wishes to be true he generally believes to be true.” – Demosthenes
The thing to keep in mind is that Trump is a politician. And as my grandpappy always used to say, “They are all crooks.” Or as I have been saying lately.
Because you KNOW he is lying

Hayek says humans are rationalizing, not rational.
Trump might be a lying, son of a bitch bastard sleazeball, but he’s our lying SOB etc.
I hear Disney wants to option “Mr. Trump’s Wild Ride” for Orlando. (and we’ll know when AI has reached the singularity when the Hall of the Presidents Reagan android grabs the Obama android by the neck)
