What Drudge links is vital to the country, right?

Yeah yeah yeah…

HACK: Chilling Longterm Effect…
BOND ‘SPECTRE’ SCRIPT STOLEN…

Studio Hires David Boies to Threaten Media…

NEWSROOM: Sorkin Says ‘Morally Treasonous’ For Publishing…
FIRST REVIEW: BLACK ‘ANNIE’ TOXIC…

Obviously, I’m not keeping up with the times as I perhaps should. But can anyone tell me why I am supposed to get exercised about the Sony hacks?

Should I care if the conglomerate bites the dust and has to be reorganized?

What am I missing? Is the country in danger or something?

If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear! I hoped they hacked the screenplay I sent sony so it will come out!

Look at the 2nd one down.

Somebody (probably sponsored by the North Korean and / or Chinese states) just stole many $ millions worth of intellectual property from Sony.

If China lifted the latest car design from Ford, or turbine design from GE, people would be angry. Theft is theft.

And if this is from a state-sponsored source, it is an act of war.

So this is war against Japan? Wow. Who knew?

Forgive me if I’m finding it tough to have a lot of sympathy for a company which produces a lot of shlock I don’t need, and spends an inordinate amount of time obsessively taking down Youtube videos — including newsworthy items uploaded as fair commentary on important events or as parody.

Their attitude is so arrogant you’d almost think they were the government:

Sony Pictures has reportedly demanded that at least three media outlets stop reporting stories based on documents obtained by hackers who crippled the entertainment giant’s computer systems last month.

The New York Times, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter each published stories late Sunday claiming that they had received letters from Sony attorney David Boies saying the documents were “stolen information.” The letter also demanded that the outlets either avoid the hacked documents or destroy them if they had already been obtained.

But to admit my bias, I am no fan of the entertainment industry…

BTW, the evidence of North Korean involvement is quite weak.

You’re supposed to be so utterly interested in it because it happened to important people.

Everybody knows the Democratic-media complex is the most important group of people in the world.
