Commenter Frank at It Will Only Get Worse suggested the below video. Frank suggests starting at about 11:00 in to learn about Obama. However, even more important is the question at 21:00 in, “Is Communism Reversible?”. The interviewer (Glasov) is pessimistic. Horowitz is optimistic.

Frank asks in the comments my opinion of the future given Obama’s control of the executive and with it the military. ObamaCare(less) is a huge over reach. Instead of turning the fire up slowly as the left/communists have done for decades they have put a blow torch to the pot. People are waking up. I’m with Horowitz. It will destroy them for a generation. Why? Because he is FORCING the youth to objectively pay attention and evaluate politics. And the youth are the easy prey for promises of unicorns, and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow. It is no accident that Obama is the “Hope and Change” guy. He is now morphing into the “Death, Taxes, and Despair” guy.
I especially liked the closing of the video: “If people don’t change (they don’t) the world can’t change.” Every generation fights these battles anew. I touched on that in a more or less non-political topic at Nature, Men, And Women.
Let me add one parenthetical note to this. You may have missed Horowitz’ interjection of “if the Republicans don’t just screw it up” in his response to “Is Communism Reversible?” My take? Republicans will screw it up. But there is hope The Libertarians Are Coming.

We do not have communism other wise you would be sitting in a gulag and I would be commanding the re-education camp you would be attending. Ask anyone who lived under communism to point out the differnce as I just did above. Dealing with the ignorant is a thankless job :but somebody has to do it!
It is the trajectory. Communism is not coming all at once to America. It is a series of steps. The current attempt of government to control health care is a step too far.

You may be right. But I believe there are still enough people around who remember 2007 to turn it around. If they want to. That is the big question. Do they want to? And will Republicans screw the pooch?
