One For Trayvon

Disgusting.

I didn’t march in the 60s in the hopes that Blacks would become more racist than whites.

Pious pity, aloof altruism, coerced charity, molding victicrats and fueling self righteous rage; intoxicating power for the dealer.

Did you somehow not realize black people are humans like the rest of us, prone to the same sins?

That’s the insanity. On the other hand here you have intelligence, integrity, and brilliance:

    Tri,

There have always been two main schools in Black thought. Self help and government assistance. You know 40 acres and a mule. Which with compound interest now exceeds the GDP of the world.

There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs….There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public. – Booker T. Washington

Those who make a business of keeping troubles, wrongs, hardships, disdain, and the perceived enmity of “others” in bright lights have become truly Professional in the last few decades. Most will work with any group, towards any goal; as long as the money flows and the power grows.

A famous man once said that he hoped for a time when people would be judged, not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

Unfortunately, it is seeming more and more that people don’t want you to judge, period. Except when they’re doing the judging. Because they know better than you.

Hrm… isn’t that being prejudiced? Thinking you know better than someone else, even if you’ve never met them?

Libertarianism does have one nice feature: judge all you want. Shun others if you don’t like what they do. But if they don’t hurt others, then don’t bother them or bother with them, and leave them be.

Agreed, but when the race card gets played and overplayed – and the Reverends Jackson and Sharpton are two in a much larger cast- such incidents as the above become harder to forgive.

Someone who cries “racist” and who immediately after puts a gun to your head – which happened to me once- is not winning friends.

People who do things — whether good or bad — bring credit or discredit only on themselves, never on their races.

That’s why I carry a firearm. But then the Racist of the US would be orchestrating a hate campaign against me, if I killed a couple of those thugs while defending myself. Well, better to be judged by twelve than carried by six.

    Take up the cry:

    I am George Zimmerman.

To suggest that what other people do in any way reflects on me or my alleged race is communitarianism, and I disagree with that philosophy. The Jews did not kill Jesus, etc.

Quite so. But if you are unfamiliar with the people involved the best thing to do is play the odds.

And fortunately the days of white mobs attacking blacks is more or less gone. And wilding is not generally a white habit. Nor is arson on Halloween.

And you know. Even Jesse Jackson racially profiles. Against Blacks. He finds them scary. And the truth is that Jackson has more to fear from Blacks than whites. Blacks are 13% of the population and account for 48% of all murders.
