There ought to be a law.

That is my take away from watching the first two hours of Ken Burns “Prohibition”.

    As the program pointed out, the statement was true. Alcohol abuse (like drug abuse today) was a major factor in an enormous number of serious social problems. Sometimes the solution is worse than the problem–but that does not mean that the problem isn’t real.

    It is becoming more evident all the time that chronic drug/alcohol use goes with PTSD. And the #1 cause of PTSD in America is child abuse.

    Maybe the alcohol is a SYMPTOM of the real enemy of civilization.
