“Rain and snow this evening. A snow shower or two overnight”
That’s tonight’s Yahoo weather forecast for Ann Arbor. And this is only October!
Where’s my global warming?
I realize weather is not climate, but I’m not all that cheered up by this chart:

Moreover, I see that Ann Arbor is not alone. In fact, tonight’s weather is a result of an unseasonably cold “Noreaster” in combination with the “Lake Effect”.
This chilling chart explains:

I just took a dog walk, and at 33 degrees, it’s too cold for comfort. Coco agrees.
Winter is still nearly two months away.
I wish I could vote for warmer weather, but I’m afraid that’s a fantasy. There’s nothing that can be done.

You Wuss…its not cold till you have icicles (or snotcicles) hanging off your beard…and your nose sticks together. Ann Arbor can get a bit chilly in Jan and Feb….but not actually cold.
Your temperature graph looks exactly like a hockeey stick! Just like the Global Warming Conspiracy-mongers said it would!
Only your hockey stick is pointing down, toward cold.
Eric, while I agree with you in general your chart is not right, the average has to end before the period being covered or you over state the recent cooling.
Just another weather anecdote, I guess, but it’s going down to the high-30s tonight, here in SW Florida. Having had snot hanging down like icicles, having shoveled snow higher than me, I moved to Florida for a reason.
The cold temperatures have me in long sleeves and sock, out of shorts, and wearing a sweater. I’ve got the fricking heat on, something I had for only three nights last January and February.
How about a little more warming, please…
