Hanoi Jane Endorses Obama

Hanoi Jane

Jane Fonda has endorsed Barack Hussein Obama. I think that is going to hurt. Was the anti-aircraft gun she sat on responsible for shooting down John McCain? There is no way to know. You have to admit it doesn’t look good. Especially for Obama.

I’d be great for Obama (as far as every demographic except the Democrat Base/Netroots) if he vocally rejected her endorsement for that very reason.
But of course, he isn’t about to do that (both because I doubt he has any personal feelings on the issue, and because he needs the base more than he needs the nation, at this point).

    Simon:
I know you’re old enough to remember the 1964 Republican convention in San Francisco when Goldwater was nominated.
You surely remember THE SPEECH when he uttered the famous line : “I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.”
And he was later endorsed by Robert Welch, the founder of The John Birch Society.
So did that make him unfit for the office?
You would have us believe that Fonda endorsing Obama is the same.
Oh wait, back then you were a Trotkiest radical.
    Never mind.

Add this to his other prized endorsements of Wright, Farrakhan, and Soros.

    Frank,
    Thanks for paying attention.
Actually I was a Democrat in ’64 but, you are not far off. And yes the Birchers put me off Goldwater. That was not the only thing. Just one more nail in the coffin.
Now a days I am a Goldwater Republican. Go figure.
Put it under the heading of: birds of a feather flock together. You get enough birds and you get an idea where the flock stands.
