Unfortunately, the free WiFi here at the hotel does not allow uploads. I’m here in St. Petersburg, and tomorrow I’m visiting the Salvador Dali Museum.
(I need more surrealism!!!!)
I’l try once more with a picture I tried earlier. If that doesn’t work, the post ends here.
Hah! Success!!

It’s party time!
Which seems quite appropriate after today’s swimming lesson:

After reading the sign I posed with a pretty mannequin:

As the saying goes, stay on the Sunni side of life!
Who needs satire when life imitates it, even on vacation?

Kinda reminds me of Christian swimwear:

Cheers to you, and a happy vacation!
But I won’t drink to that damned bathing suit.
Enjoy your stay… the weather should be good, if a bit chilly by Florida standards.
If you have trouble with the hotel wifi – find a Panera Bread, or a local library. Most (if not all) of the St Pete libraries have free wifi. It isn’t great, but the price is right.
Take one of the Dali tours. They are short, but they explain a lot you wouldn’t know unless you are an art scholar – there is a lot of stuff packed into a Dali painting.
Alphie:
Just a little perspective on your Christian swimwear joke.
If one of those comely lasses in the Christian swimwear ad walked down the streets of a Saudi Arabian city wearing one of those outfits, she’d be stoned to death as a whore. Probably get ganged-raped for “wanting it,” given that she’d be enticing the Saudi males with her bare calves and exposed ears.
Relativism’s a bitch, ain’t it?
St. Pete’s a wonderful berg! I highly recommend Universal Studios, Tampa if you’re inclined towards roller coasters. And in February? No lines!
The wife and I visited last Feb and we had the run of the whole park. It was a surreal experience.
Whoops! Meant to write Busch Gardens. Not Universal.
